Spencer and Mike's engagement session took place in the middle of fall, in the heart of Petoskey, located in the gorgeous Northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan. While it WAS the peak weekend for foliage in the UP, Petoskey wasn't entirely arrived yet just slightly south, but was nonetheless the perfect setting for the session...
You know you have the best couples ever when photographing them has you feeling like you are just hanging out with two of your old friends. I never want any of my sessions to end, I always have a great time with my couples, but I might have cried a little bit inside when Jocelyn and Tanner's session came to a close! From laughing and talking almost non-stop, our adventures around the island was the perfect way to highlight this couple's...
I first got in touch with Emma and Matt thru Matt's sister and her fiancé (you can see their amazing engagement session HERE) when they were looking for a photographer once they became engaged. I was SO excited that Emma and Matt wanted their engagement session done in the Upper Peninsula AND in the winter. I seriously love everything about the spring/summer/fall, but there's something about a winter engagement session, and in Michigan no less, that's perfect in every way. I love that it's such a contrast from their Minnesota wedding later this...
Right now it's the month of April. While the rest of the country is warm, and spring is blooming, we have school cancellations in some of the districts around us because of the snow. Seriously. So, on that snowy, cold note, I'm blogging Danielle and Cole's engagement session from February. It was a cold and snowy day then, too! Barely above freezing, and a fresh snow fall from the night before (with some still snow/blowing snow) it was a winter wonderland and made for an amazing backdrop.
Continuing my blogging of past sessions from this summer and fall, I'm so excited to be sharing some favorites from Eric and Erica's beautiful engagement! This couple is having their wedding in my hometown, and wanted the session on some of Erica's family property. It was perfection...the day, the couple, the locations. I just loved every second of these two and while I didn't include any below, there was SO many fun and goofy moments that I cannot wait to continue with their spring wedding in a few months!

Hi Friends! We are in the middle of an amazing trip to Hawaii...and are just loving every second of it! I posted this on our Facebook page just as a PSA to our amazing clients, but wanted to let you know here as well that we are currently on vacation thru February 23. BUT we absolutely have access to our emails while away. This past summer, I had the honor of photographing Kory and Chelsea for their engagement session in Marquette, Michigan. It was a gorgeous day and we started off shooting at downtown Marquette and ending up down by Lake Superior. They are a beautiful couple, and their wedding day coming up later this year is going to be even more perfect than this gorgeous engagement.
Kristine and Kevin are one of those couples that are just so much fun...sweet to be around, and even better, so lovely to photograph! They came to see me all the way from Wisconsin for our engagement session at Fayette State Park in Garden, MI. It was a gorgeous evening and I had the best time at the session!
